ShuffleMaster Inc.
Microsoft Dynamics GP Professional and Microsoft Dynamics
CRM were selected as the business solution for ShuffleMaster.
This decision was based on implementation cost, functionality,
scalability, and company viability.
Shuffle Master is the industry leader in automatic card
shuffler machines, with over 14,000 shufflers installed
worldwide, used for nearly every casino card game.
You might be good at rearranging a deck of cards, but are
you a shuffle master? ShuffleMaster has sold or leased more
than 15,000 of its single- and multi-deck automatic card
shuffling devices, which help increase casino security and
efficiency. The company also develops table games with names
like Let It Ride, Three Card Poker, Fortune Pai Gow Poker,
Royal Match 21, and Casino War. About 3,200 of its table
games can be found with the company's card shufflers at
more than 600 casinos worldwide.
Getting in the Game
Project Description: ShuffleMaster purchased Microsoft
Dynamics GP software shortly before experiencing a huge
spike in growth of their company. ShuffleMaster was struggling
and with an incomplete implementation of the software during
this period. Finding the right partner and refocusing on
the tool they had became a key priority for the entire team.
ShuffleMaster's new executive management team was ready
to go with SAP or Oracle. Microsoft Premier Support stepped
onto the scene to address the immediate problems the company
was experiencing. Microsoft determined that a more experienced
Dynamics GP partner needed to be directly involved to turn
around the current situation. Microsoft called upon InterDyn.
As a trusted advisor, InterDyn was able to show ShuffleMaster
the value of what they had. Aside from the extreme costs
the system change would incur, they quickly realized they
were not taking advantage of how their current system could
grow with the company.
ShuffleMaster regrouped and together with Microsoft and
InterDyn created a new configuration of Dynamics GP that
is able to support their company today and for the next
2-3 years.
Winning the Race
Fast growth was a major concern and scalability had to be
addressed from a sales perspective. ShuffleMaster has grown
to a $90+ million dollar operation with plans to more than
double in size within the next few years. Microsoft Dynamics
CRM was added to the total solution as the best means to
support their sales force and meet the aggressive goals.
Easily managing opportunities and sales transactions within
their system with complete visibility was a dream suddenly
realized.
ShuffleMaster's sales team now has the capability of making
agile business decisions and is more mobilized as a group.
Operations Expansion
ShuffleMaster recently acquired a new division located in
Vienna Austria. Wanting to further build on the success
using Microsoft Dynamics, the team went back to Microsoft
to create a similar success story. Due to the unique needs
of this entity, it was determined that Navision was the
best software fit. InterDyn has partnered with a Microsoft
partner in Vienna to roll out Navision as the local backoffice
solution, keeping Microsoft Dynamics CRM as the worldwide
CRM solution.
Return on Investment
In addition to the successful implementation, the combination
of Microsoft Dynamics offered many other benefits
to ShuffleMaster including:
- Usability: An intuitive system that's easier
to use based on the way it is interfaced and organized.
Staff training takes far less time and money to complete
using Microsoft Dynamics GP.
- Open Architecture: This provides ShuffleMaster
the ability to connect legacy systems or databases.
Available tools simplify system customization, integration
and report generation.
- Premium Support: The support team at Microsoft
and InterDyn have done an excellent job in helping ShuffleMaster
to maintain its own system.
- Lower Cost of Ownership: Not only was the implementation
completed for half the price of an SAP or Oracle implementation,
but the total cost of ownership is also much lower.
Being able to use industry-standard tools (such as Visual
Basic and Crystal Reports) with existing staff skill-sets
greatly decreases system costs.
